Self Consumption

Through the new self-consumption scheme in Greece, we offer competitive retail electricity prices to end consumers, enabling them to offset their energy consumption with energy produced by renewable energy stations

GreenValue Net-billing & Virtual Net-billing Schemes

Net-billing & Virtual Net-billing

In September 2024, the new regulatory framework for energy self-consumption was activated in Greece with the publication of Ministerial Decision

YPEN/DAPEEK/93976/2772 (Government Gazette 5074B/5.9.2024)

This decision allows individuals and businesses—regardless of voltage level (Low, Medium, or High)—to produce electricity through photovoltaic systems, with or without batteries, and consume it on-site.

Surplus energy that is not consumed instantly is injected into the grid and compensated. Producers may either sell it to the wholesale electricity market or secure a fixed sale price through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GreenValue, ensuring revenue and energy autonomy.

GreenValue Self-Consumption

Virtual Net Billing

In virtual net billing schemes where the consumer does not own the RES plant,
GreenValue facilitates contractual agreements with investors or RES projects from its portfolio, offering a fixed price per MWh of offset energy. This energy is deducted from the consumer’s final electricity bill, and the electricity supplier charges zero cost for that quantity, as the energy cost has already been deducted.

The installed capacity of the RES plant can be up to one hundred percent (100%) of the total installed power of all offset consumption points.

For Energy-Intensive Consumers and Businesses

  • Energy studies for identifying cost-saving opportunities and energy offsetting solutions from RES projects by HELIOSRES and affiliated investment companies.
  • Self-consumption systems such as industrial and commercial photovoltaic installations with or without battery storage. We undertake the supply of complete equipment and energy storage systems.
  • Reduction of electricity costs on retail tariffs through the implementation of virtual net billing using large-scale RES projects developed by the group.
  • Full management for the development of energy projects at all stages, including their participation in the
    Energy Exchange.
2

For Residential Consumers

  • Energy efficiency studies (Design, Permitting, Installation, Maintenance).
  • Reduction of electricity costs on retail residential tariffs through energy offsetting with renewable energy projects owned by the
    HELIOSRES group and affiliated investors.
  • Development of self-consumption systems such as residential photovoltaic systems with or without battery storage.
3

For Investors

  • Representation services for RES and energy storage projects in the electricity market and Energy Exchange.
  • Securing fixed prices for the injected electricity from RES projects into the grid through bilateral purchase agreements with
GREEN VALUE, intended for energy self-consumption by end consumers.
  • Full management and development of RES and storage projects: Investment evaluation, Permitting, Financing, Securing cash flows, Design, Engineering, Installation, and Maintenance.
